Resources For Couples

To Transform Conflict To Intimacy

Other Marriage Workshops, Seminars & Marital Therapy Providers

These organizations and web sites offer products, services or seminars in areas we may not cover. RealHope.com seminars in Los Angeles and the workshop manual focuses on helping couples with lots of arguing and conflict. You can deal with your problems by simply using herbal remedies, for example a lot of people buy weed online from Canada when they’re feeling stressed out by life’s challenges, but the ultimate approach is to team this with some proper counseling to help you get to the bottom of your issues. RealHope seminars have couples practicing the skills in the workshop over and over until those skills aren’t just known intellectually, they become a reflex. Some of these resources are not web links and they must be contacted by phone or mail.

    • Alyce LaViolette, MS – Alyce founded the Alternatives To Violence treatment center for working with men who are abusive. Group counseling for men and who have anger management problems in intimate relationships. She does Individual counseling for survivors and perpetrators of abusive relationships, rape survivors, adults abused as children and adolescents in abusive relationships. Couples and family counseling are available only after a period of safety has been established and both individuals and the counselor(s) have been consulted. This is not recommended initially for several reasons. Alyce and I have worked together for over 25 years as a male/female facilitator team working with the men in the West L.A. Alternatives To Violence group. She is extremely effective, intuitive, realistic, funny and genuine. Her CV and profile can also be seen by clicking HERE. I recommend his CD and course highly. Turns bullies into buddies. Practical, effective approach to bullying, teasing, children’s aggression. Low Fee Mental Health Agencies & Clinics In Los Angeles

Some of these agencies also have psychiatrists on staff if you need a medication consultation.

I encourage you to get a sense of the therapist you are assigned; and if you are not getting a feeling of hope, or gaining in skills, or a reduction of symptoms; by all means simply ask for a different therapist, or go to another agency.  Therapy will not work for you if you don’t have some connection, trust and faith in the person you are seeing.

There is also a zip code based website to search for low-fee therapy and marriage counseling called Open Counseling, put together by Mark Pines, LMFT.
